i did but when he isn't in the server the trust seems to wear off i don't know why it does this right now
If you restart the server and your friend doesn't rejoin, you won't have trust with him.
I think it's always been like that.
I'd imagine it's so that you can't just edit someone's bricks anywhere, regardless of having had trust at some obscure moment in time.
There have been people I've had trust with before, for little moments, like helping out on a server or working together, and then have never seen for months.
I'd be a bit unhappy if they happened to join a server I had also been on, and then were to edit my stuff without me being there.
Your only real answer is to do as the above post says.
Save the map as normal.
Then reload it without brick ownership.
Then build your stuff on top.
When done, make another save with a different name.
Remove all bricks, then reload the original save, with brick ownership. Then load the later one on top.
nope. is there a way to see the list of people who joined the server, or remove the ownership of bricks?
I don't think you can remove ownership of others peoples stuff, other than saving or loading without ownership.
There is a server option to have bricks become Public after a set amount of time, if I recall correctly, however. But I don't think it's possible to edit public bricks at all, so that's not useful.
And to check who has been on the server, open the Admin Menu. Then click "Remove bricks". This brings up all players who have been on the server, even if they have no bricks currently. You can use this to ban people as well, if they leave a server before you can ban them or whatnot.
What version of Blockland do you have, because you mentioned having "Maps" in OP.
I would imagine he is using the term "Maps" to refer to a save he is making.
