Yeah, so I'm about to do this after I had this problem.
Keep in mind this is from a separate partition.

If this doesn't work I'll have to try and see if I can copy my disk to a usb or something.


edit: upgraded from xp to vista succesfully
(had to install custom ethernet drivers though :|  )

My main computer's motherboard shat itself and I'm currently running an old XP computer.
I've got a couple other Windows 7 computers I could use but the XP has a better graphics card and is able to support all my monitors.

I don't mind XP, it's still great, wish they supported it more though

windows 7 wouldn't install but xp would so i hope to install 7 USING xp
xp is so old it won't even recognize my internet, and atm the windows 7 installer is stuck at 58% of "copying files"
(also it's running IN/FROM the partition I want to install 7 to, so idk if that's a bad idea or not)

Windows XP did install okay.
It's 7 that's giving me stuff.
Thing is, it works okay to a DIFFERENT percentage everytime.
I'd say it could be a bad dvd but holy stuff I just burned it, but since I have many extra blanks, I'll try again.

Oh and if I get 7 succesfully installed, I promise I'll fix the eventing gui.
