I wrote this because I noticed how annoying this is and that it's pretty common here. I really wish it wasn't.
PewDiePie is honestly just a guy who likes playing video games and entertaining his fans. You want to know what annoys me, though? The "haters." You can't even mention PewDiePie without them starting a big loving stuffstorm about it. All right, we get it. You don't like PewDiePie just shut up about it. His haters are seriously worse than the way they portray his fans. I think the thing that bothers me the most about their portrayal is how gullible they are. Half of the "PewDiePie "fantard" comments" are trolls exploiting their hate to get attention and/or try to make PewDiePie and his fans look bad. It's really just this big group of people who can't accept that people have different opinions and jump on the "Hate the popular thing because it's cool!" bandwagon. In fact, this goes beyond PewDiePie, it applies for any of you people genuinely wasting your time by hating things you don't like. Just because his videos attract a younger audience, or he makes money off of doing something you normally can't, it doesn't mean you should hate him. If his videos really bother you that much, you can just ignore them. Bitching about it won't do anything but make you look like a huge douchebag. I don't see why people don't just accept that people have different ideas of what is good. Additionally, fans need to stop flipping out when somebody hates what they love. Discussing opinions is one thing, but it is almost always nothing but a flame war in cases like this. I'm actually not sure if people will ever be able to deal with things they don't like in terms of things like fandoms.
TL;DR: Stop bitching about things you don't like and hating things just because they're popular, and stop flipping out if someone doesn't like what you like. It's just a waste of time.
Discuss haters, fandoms, or why you hate me for making this but for the love of god don't turn this into a "PEWDIEPIE SUCKS!!1" thread and do not spam the "PleaseDiePie" video link all over the thread.
