but how many people actually hate something because it's popular rather than actually disliking it?

the number might be higher than I think it is, but it's not as high as some people make it out to be.

Almost at any video I go to, the comments section is riddled with comments by "PewDiePie Bros" and they say "This guy sucks PewDiePie is so much better" or "loving idiot youtuber he isn't even funny if you want comedy go watch pewdiepie"

I think this is a case of "I don't hate ____, i just hate it's fandom".

The only reason that he is "Funny" is because his reactions are over exaggerated.

somewhat related: sometime before classes start in the morning at school i hang out with my friend and her female internet-y group and i kind of started not doing that since they started talking about "pewdiepie/cry fanfictions"
these are people who play games on youtube why are you making fanfics about them
and no its not nice nonloveual fanfics when theyre not talking about pewdiepie or cry theyre talking about yaoi so just.... why,,,,,,,,,, y they do???? this???
