On Topic: Seriously, ignore the friends who do this. They obviously want to get a good response from you so they can continue to do this stuff. (talking about in-game/internet wise) If someone grills you for being a "whiteknight" in Real Life simply punch them in their stuff spewing mouth. forget the consequences, Tell the "Adults" They were being a bunch of pricks and got what they had coming.
