Author Topic: Anyone else hate the steam chat update?  (Read 1827 times)

So yeah, they updated the chat. Worst update, ever. ;_;

First, when you have a conversation with a friend, then close it out and leave, it stays there. Lame. The grey words were from like a day ago.

Secondly, /me no long works. This really hit me hard. ;_;

They better fix it.. :l

It's not broken, It was "fixed"

Apparently people were exploiting it so they removed it

ATLEAST YOUR STEAM WORKS

my steam wont even update

steam hasn't updated for me yet, woo
i'll savor the /me while i still have it

ATLEAST YOUR STEAM WORKS

my steam wont even update
remove clientregistry.blob from steam folder
start steam
????
profit

features are removed because some people are morons and others exploit
the only people who suffer are those who actually use those features for their intended purpose

Oooh, 'exploiting' a chat system. Totally worth removing the option because of a chat exploit.

People used it to trick people into thinking they were being sent messages by a "steam customer service" or whatever.
