Xfire Support Thread

I don't spend really that much time chatting, but I have AIM/Yahoo/MSN accounts, which I do use, but as I spent the majority of my computer time gaming or reading, so those are just bothersome. When it comes to which messenger I get more use out of and is more practical, it's Xfire, hands down.

xfire is for computer noobs, to make them feel like they can call themselves hardcore gamers.

You really have no idea what you're talking about.

I use Xfire as a method of contacting friends whilst I or they are playing games. It's a simple and effective method of communicating whilst gaming, and doesn't require the user to minimize and talk through another program, disrupting their game. It also allows me to see what games my friends are playing, and join them if they are connected to a server.

EDIT: Also, if you take a look at the Xfire homepage, you'd notice that Call of Duty 2 Multiplayer has been played by more people than Counter Strike: Source recently. I've never played World of Warcraft - and I haven't played Counter Strike seriously for over a year. I'm still, however, a regular user of Xfire.

i know what xfire can do.
its all junk that already exists for that purpose, but half as good.

Steam is turning out to be the new Xfire, but half of the BLers nowadays have overprotective parents who wont let them use Steam.
