Author Topic: computer absolutely refuses to connect to ethernet  (Read 884 times)

so ive been working on this for about a week, but i cant seem to get my computer to connect to the internet through an ethernet cable.

i've tried the ethernet port in the computer and two network cards + their drivers

all it does is connect to local and it just sits there doing nothing

help would be appreciated

is your adapter enabled? have you set some custom ipv4 settings?

He's asking because maybe you set custom settings.  If you have, let it configure itself automatically.

Does your router/modem have an active connection?  Have you tried another computer?
Do you have the proper drivers installed?

find your router ip (mine is 192.168.0.1, yours will be something similar) and make sure that it is set up properly.
