This is a joke?

No, most people use simple text editors to work on the script for their games. I used Notepad++ for my Lua stuff (although I sucked at it), Extrude used it for all his projects, and I think Kingdaro used Notepad++, not sure.

On that note, I encourage you guys use Love2D for the engine. Lua is a great language and you can get some fine work done.

I don't know lua. :(

We also need a theme for this game

I can do some 8Bit sprites if you want.

Sure!

For the first you need a lego dude that has jeans and a red shirt.
The second a lego person wearing something unfashionable. Along with long hair.
That's all I can think of so far.

I dunno
I can start working on them now
Also, what perspective do you want?

Actually no I can't be arsed sorry

The secret behind the whole game should be that the teddy bear did it.
Or he didn't do it, but he's going to jail anyways.

Also if we're doing 8-bit style, should I do chiptune music?
And if so, should it be commodore 64 (SID soundcard, more advanced sounding) style or NES (standard squarewave/sawtooth/white noise chiptune) style?
And most importantly, should I actually try and make some really cool stuff or just sort of 'meh' and throw it together?

I also could do some assisting tilesheet/sprite art.
