judging the book by it's cover, nice job starfish
i wouldn't play a video game if i knew the developer tried to murder me once
Most of these are completely irrelevant to the topic, and you won't go to them because you dislike the host...

I agree with this guy.

Dangit, i really put effort into my builds and people say they are great, but my dad has rules about how often i can go on the computer so i can only host like 3 hours every 4 days :/
i feel like all my work was a waste

And I used to think that Pecon7's Boss Battles were good, heh.

This forum is becoming a big circlejerk of people agreeing about how bad every server is.

Do something on my server :D

I like the essence of Bushido's servers but it's always either a crappy build (gameplay) or just not fun at all. I like really fast paced servers or servers that require thinking and some sort of skill that requires you to plan out your actions.

BF3 is a bad example, as it's a big game and can barely relate to Blockland, maybe not at all, but the fact that it's so fast paced makes it so much fun. Revive a guy here, suppress another guy, blow a hole in that wall and flank them, these are all thoughts that go through ones head in BF3. I don't exactly want this, but I just want more fast paced gameplay, and Bushido could be all classic and that but it's too slow.

No, I don't suck either, I actually hold well together in about every game, generally just an all around guy. Just thought I could put a small idea combination together and share with y'all.

I think the problem is that once someone joins a populated server and likes it, he/she has less initiative to join a server with, say, 4 players.

It's hard to start up any fair type of gametype because all anyone wants to do is join things they find fun currently and that are popular - aka knife tdm knife tdm knife tdm knife tdm bad roleplays involving at least four deaths per character and overdramatic scenes of babies the size of hands getting hit by cars or whatever, some good DMs but still they all add up to be the same and admin abuse etc.

what I mean by this is that any servers that don't get a good amount of players usually don't get anywhere, and if they do it's already been however much time and they may not host it until ____ in which they'd have to get said players all over again (which is why dedicated servers help, but that only works if you don't have to moderate it)

i would have more to say but this comment is getting fat
