I don't like it either. Especially the particles that trail off after it explodes. It should be like Cortex Command style.



Also the ground should at least break a little after the explosion.

The purple is because the ground is purple, it most likely changes with the terrain color so it looks like it's actually blasting some of the dirt away, and I'm guessing that the rocket launcher isn't a very high power launcher, in one of Tiy's streams he used a weapon that destroyed ground iirc.
