Not really. Terraria is starting to become so solid i don't even think i need a game like Starbound. Only thing i find awesome about Starbound these days is the soundtrack which is magnificent.

Some people who bought platinum tier were saying how they haven't been contacted yet, at all, about the hat design. One person said when they tried talking to devs about it, they were ignored.

You know what; I'll try to have an open mind about the developers. Maybe that one time with you was when they were just tired or having a bad day (Or they are genuinely idiots). I'm pretty sure they will contact the platinum donators when they're on the phase of development where they can add those hats.

But that is no reason to really start a whole crusade against them.

In this situation, those people could be a bit too early about this.
They might've not gotten to that stage yet and responding to 100 questions each day that ask the same question about something they haven't gotten to might indeed not be in their best interest.

you know, that's what I wanted to think, but the loveual predator/rape victim thing and the mumble were two different days. In the IRC i would get spammed in private ircs with people going on about how I'm a loveual predator or people asking if I've been raped. This because of molly and it. When I asked if they could do something about it, because it was constant, I was told to forget off. I wasn't even being rude about it.
