Author Topic: do you think badspot would ever stop making blockland?  (Read 1810 times)

i dont have anything im just curious :,(

im sure his new game expected by this november would take up a bunch of his time.

Badspot will stop making Blockland and shut it down when he
1: Can't afford to keep it up
2: Dies
3: Decides to shut it down.

He should sell it some other company, we might not have the same freedom or maybe we will but its better than no blockland

I'm pretty sure that kompressor would take over if Badspot died or whatever.

Oh god now lol, if anything we would an indie game company that gives players a lot of freedom such as Mojang although I wouldn't want them as the owners, Badspot is like the best owner IMO.

I think when Badspot eventually abandons Blockland there will be other similar games. Besides a sandbox game like this can stay alive for years after abandonment because of community content. In fact Badspot is only giving us tasty treats in terms of gameplay. Nothing has really changed gameplay wise in years as far as I know. The shaders were a large visual update with little meaning in terms of mechanics.

Blockland's main Baddy income, stop making it to be a hobo.

If he did stop working on it, he should pass it down to some beast coders that are interested in upkeeping it or just make it open source =D

No.

Badspot should make some sort of Council of the Moderators and such, then keep them to run Blockland and Kompressor will find some developers.

No open source stuff that would ruin it.

I think if it gets on Steam, there will be a less chance of it being shut down? Mebe? Idk...

Technically, Blockland is open source because he allows us to add things to his game (Add-Ons)
