Yeah but then wouldn't everyone else have to download a version of BL or edit something so they can have it connect to that server? Id have a pretty beast master server...

You would only need to edit ~1 line somewhere in the code. v0002 allowed you to change the master server right there in the server list.

True. Serial authentication would fall apart but technically the community could create it's own.
