Natural selection.
Just saying, guys

> Plays with loaded gun while safety is off
> Points gun at her head
> Pulls the trigger
(according to video)

I don't know if I can believe that all that was a series of unfortunate events. Sounds a bit fishy...

I feel sorry for your loss though. That kind of things shouldn't happen to anyone :(
May she rest in peace.

I'm sorry you lost your friend.

I'm not sorry an armed idiot won't get a chance to accidentally shoot anyone else, now.

I feel bad for you, but I also don't.
It says that she "played" with her gun. That sounds like a huge disaster waiting to happen, and it did.

Yeah, she had it coming. Not saying that she deserved it, but she is always playing with the gun. Whats worse is there's a 8 year old normally around her so it's a bad example (its ok to play with guns). At least, she WAS a bad example.

Sorry for your loss, but what kind of moron plays with their firearm like that, they aren't toys.

This is why we have safety.
I'm sorry for your loss, though.
Safety isn't going to stop a discharge, it stops the trigger from being pulled. if something is mechanically wrong with the gun and the bullet fires the safety isn't going to miraculously stop a lump of lead going faster than sound.

even with the chamber wide open and an oil rag being pulled through the whole thing, i still wont point the gun at myself or another person.

lol wtf lol. its just good habit to never point it at anyone, no matter what the situation.
then it dosnt matter if it misfires, or you swipe the trigger. you cant shoot a person unless its pointed at them.

Never point a gun at someone unless you intend to use it

That's really tragic.

EDIT: It's nice how well you're handling this. I'd be broken to pieces.

For self defense.

or it ricochets off a wall several times and hits a child.

TRIGGER HAPPY.

you have no clue how loss of energy works
when a bullet hits a wall and bounces off, it loses a forgetton of energy
it's not lethal after as low as three or four bounces
