ahahaha these people kept drinking the water even though it tasted funny?

Canada is attacking our water towers!

that's actually an interesting point
I suppose it would mean they partook in unwilling cannibalism, but it wouldn't make them cannibals as such.

Cannibals actively feed on the flesh/remains of other humans.
You'd have to be doing it out of choice and wanting to, in order to be an acting cannibal.

Technically it's common for people to partake in self-cannibalism. Anytime you consume a part of your body, that is cannibalism.
If you bite the skin of your lips, or your tongue, or you bite your nails or skin around them, you're consuming human tissue.

It's common knowledge that water from different locations (even city-to-city within a country) will taste very different, depending on the treatment procedures on it, and the concentration of particular mineral ions within the water.

But, that said, I personally can't believe that water with partially broken down human in it will taste that similar to clean water.
It would surely have an incredibly different taste that would put you off?

Ugh I always hated the water at my cousin's house (which was 20 minutes away) so I got super dehydrated every time I was there.

There's no difference to the media, knowing them. "Ripping pieces off a freshly-killed human corpse and eating them raw? Drinking water you didn't know had a human body decomposing in it? Meh, same difference."

I live near the Mississippi River, and presumably our water comes from there. When the river gets low the water tastes different, and I seem to be the only person who can tell.

Probably a higher concentration of mineral ions in it, due to decreased flow of them down the river.

Most people are rather de-sensitised to the taste of their local water, even if does change a bit.

But you don't have to travel far, usually to taste a difference from a different source.

You could do a really basic test to see if there is any noticable change in concentration.
When the concentration is high, the water is "Hard".
When the concentration is low, the water is "Soft".

If you put soap in soft water it more readily forms "suds" or bubbles, and will froth and such easier.
In Hard water it doesn't do so as much.
You could try a simple (although possibly inaccurate) test by comparing how easily soap forms bubbles in the water, when you think the water is normal and when you think it tastes differently.

And if it is temporary hardness, then boiling it should clear it up.

holy stuff what i stayed at that hotel with some black guy when i was traveling through cali in december

The video on CNN's page claimed that two serial killers have lived there, one of them being Richard Ramirez.

Speaking of the video: I find the bit right at 30:00 to be a bit unnerving. It's just creepy. I feel bad for her. :(

this is the biggest insult ever lol

If the water was black for a few seconds I wouldn't take a shower in it, ever.

You may be the most easily offended person I've ever encountered, congratulations
