I've seen larger, finished ships on the ARES servers.
Though I suppose that doesn't make them official ARES ships...
Our ships are larger in general comparison but that doesn't mean they are better. I am in another country working atm so i cannot continue working on my WIP ship, The Intaikus but after the interior is finished, i will move on to the belly where i will install more turrets so as to not leave is so vulnerable as well as a few added features. I already stated personally though that my ship cannot handle more than one ARES vessel solo and evem if it did, it's not designed for that anyways. It's a skirmish vessel or hit and run. We strike quick cutting off all direct communications to warn more hostiles and then we take what we want and warp out. Until we create a larger fleet, this is how we play it.

P.S. The guns are 125mm Railguns (the smallest class of it's kind) and only meant for larger targets such as the ships themselves and what my guns can't hit, my drones can.

I assumed those were the back because there's this huge blue gaping brick thing.

-snip-
Assuming all of the information from the OP is correct, the intaikus is a support role ship. Taking on any given ship, built by anyone, so long as it's the same scale and that ship itself isn't support / research / aka has military purpose, would be tough odds.

Cutting off all direct communications... Well stuff, and do you have a way to explain that? Shooting at them with plasma I suppose? Ooh or cell phone jammers? Being that you're in space and information is just a wave, which bounces off of MOST solid structures, you would have to either put their ship in a loving bubble, or find a way to intercept those wavelengths without being there to ACCEPT them.

Ideally that's all fine and dandy, that's just how I'm interpreting this in an RP perspective, but what really throws me off is this;
125mm railguns, smallest of their class, intended for larger targets
if they can't hit it, drones can
Railguns, which are essentially space snipers with super sonic bullets... They are the smallest possible turret type, but they're INTENDED for large craft. Already doesn't make sense. But then you add in the DRONES... Having drones is fine and dandy sure, but if they go unchecked, then they get hacked. Just look at all the drones the US Military has had hacked. Hell they still get hacked with people sitting over the loving plane watching the controls via a computer screen. Now assuming you have someone watching them and a "space anti-virus firewall" and assuming the drones aren't rigged to explode on impact or something, they look like fighters. And a fighter would do very minimal damage to, say, a cruiser.

But then again, I could just be looking at EVERYTHING all wrong.

erm a bit. You can't hack these drones because they respond to the ships computer which runs on the bandwith. I can only fit 5 drones in my drone bay and 5 drones is all my ships bandwith is capable of. Even if you found a way to somehow hack the drones it would take way too much time to be worth the attention when i would be a bigger priority. Also railguns shoot at high velocities yes but to be so precise, the rounds dont do splash damage so its great for sniping but as soon as a target gets close the tracking cant keep up.

five.. So what's the reason for there being fifty?

Because it looks cool hue hue also our invisible carrier ( that controls the rest) is in the background of the pic. You just cant see it because its invisible....and/or wip

All one of them?

far more than one, it was just one that was hacked AND stolen that I'm aware of.

erm a bit. You can't hack these drones because they respond to the ships computer which runs on the bandwith That would be the general idea behind hacking, and being that this is sci-fi based combat, I would think there would be pre-set hack paths and pre-set anti-hack paths. That and I'm pretty sure bandwidth would be an obsolete mode of information transfer. . I can only fit 5 drones in my drone bay and 5 drones is all my ships bandwith is capable of. Even if you found a way to somehow hack the drones it would take way too much time to be worth the attention when i would be a bigger priority. They aren't restricted to a solid-state projectile. Further, being that the projectile travels at speeds faster than the human eye can track, it could easily tear a small ship in half, say, if it hit one of your drones by accident. Further, even considering that it's a small cannon, it would at least pierce a hole in any armor plating the ship would have. And being that your in space, the vacuum of space would suck out all the air, which having ALL of that pressure suddenly there, would kill ANYONE in that room. so its great for sniping but as soon as a target gets close the tracking cant keep up. You mean to tell me that if your standing 2ft away from me and Im using a 22. rifle, it's harder to hit you than it is if your 800 yards away? Either way I can hit you, but I think if I hit you point blank, it'll be MORE accurate, and it'll hurt a LOT more.

Anything can hit a target thats not moving. But you have to add in the stats of tracking fall off, turret optimal, how fast each ship is going while orbiting each other, and diatance between the ships. Even a fast as it can shoot solid projectiles, it still takes time to travel from point a to point b. railguns shoot solid projectiles as insane speed but the ammo can be modified to fit each situation. You cant shoot water out of a railgun :3

This has all got to be some kind of joke I'm missing.

quite a funny one too

you guys can argue about power levels til the saiyans come home but this is still a game about lego bricks. you should be judging the ship based on how it looks, not on what fluff magic it possesses.

Is that before or after you take into account that half of the servers on blockland are RP servers, and that these could potentially be put up against AREA?

I'm looking at this from a mini empire stand point since I've hosted and co-hosted god knows how many.
