Fast threads forum - We loving need one.

This is getting loving ridiculous over half of the topics in OT are stuffty as forget "Post X" topics and in my opinion is adding even more stupid to the forums then there already is.

Sure it's nice to see these topics sometimes but when they push out anything with actual discussion is annoying as hell.

If you want proof just look at the listings in Off-topic.

Edit: And before anyone mentions it: Yes I know I seem to periodicity make these topics but I honestly think we need a couple more forums.

Well IMO any "ask _____ anything" threads should be deleted and the owner given a ban for spamming.
Other megathreads such as MLP also really shouldn't be here, as they offer nothing of substence.

Really it's the "slow" threads that are the problem.

Seriously, what the forget is the point of the pony thread? It's the most popular thread and almost always at the top of the list in off topic, yet it could just as well be multiple topics on a MLP forum.

The only good point of your post was the first line saying we should get rid of ask me anything threads, then you went on to target MLP out of nowhere most likely because I'm the OP.

Megathreads make sense and honestly right now they are the most content we get out of this forum so it makes zero sense why you would want to get rid of them.

The fast paced cycling of content that these "fast" threads offers us is nice. Everyday I can go to off topic and see a truly random selection of things that I may or may not want to discuss, and if I don't like them, they'll probably be gone in a day or two at most.

But to see that there are threads such as the MLP thread, which is just a few bronies talking about the show and socializing, as a permanant part of the forum, something that will always be in the top 10 threads in off topic (as well as the largest thread ever) kills the idea of a random, fast paced off topic, with a constatly refreshed set of topics to discuss, for everyone but the handful of people who have emassed probably hundreds thousands of posts each in that one topic.

If that is the case, then your syerjchep thread should just be deleted as well, since its just you blogging about your loving Internet not working or computer not having any OS, not serving any purpose and it's in the wrong loving board.

each of these "fast threads" had its own op, which everyone focused on. you cannot have a thread similar with multiple ops.
