Author Topic: Low FPS on badspots block party  (Read 3274 times)

I am getting only 16 FPS on badspots block party (Max shaders) and I don't know why. My specs are: Gigabyte Radeon 7950 3gb, i5 3750K, XFX PSU 650 Watt 80 plus bronze, Gigabyte something motherboard,  stock CPU fan. Altiris is getting 30-40 FPS and has the same GPU and a lesser CPU. I tried updating the AMD drivers to 13.2 and my Gigabyte drivers for the GPU are at the latest update but still getting a low FPS. Could someone tell me whats the problem?

Turn down your draw distance.

Turn down your draw distance.

Turn down your shaders

No altiris has the exact same GPU and a less powered CPU and gets 30-40 FPS on the server

How do you know there aren't other factors? Just try what we suggested.

We tried a bunch of crap I am guessing its his PSU but again I don't think so. Do you have other games besides Blockland, BF3 perhaps?

Whats his ram? Also has he tried reformating, defragging and saving space. or could his cpu or gpu be under clocked.

I don't Think its my PSU. Its a 650 Watt 80 Bronze

What programs/processes are you running in the background? How much memory do you have? Is there any way to check the temperature on your cpu?

I don't know how to check my CPU temperature. I have 8 GB of ddr3 1600 MHZ RAM. And I think only skype and google chrome were in the background

Look in the task manager to see if anything besides blockland is taking up a large portion of your cpu, memory, or gpu (your gpu manufacturer might have a tool for this if you cant)Close any processes/programs you dont need and try again.

Go into your uefi/bios and look for the CPU temp, just don't change anything

I don't know much about intel so I don't know of any programs that can check it.

How do I get into my BIOS?

Don't know about newer motherboards but I believe it is F2 when the computer first starts booting up to the bios screen before the os screen.

How do I get into my BIOS?
Press delete after you restart your computer, when the first screen comes up press delete and it should come up
