Author Topic: Is there mod that let you build everywhere, regardless trust if you're Super Adm  (Read 672 times)

Is there such mod? Because someone on my server made building using funky colors which isn't allowed. I don't want to destroy it, I just want to repaint it (I've informed author of this building, but he currently has not time to play any games at all, because he's in Iraq).

To do that I'd need mod that would allow to paint/build on someone else's blocks regardless trust privileges if you're Super Admin. Do you know of any of those? If not, could someone write it and post in RTB?

you could always load the bricks without ownership

Yeah, but that will give griefers, well, ability to grief. I want both grief protection for normal admins and players and ability to build on someone else's bricks if you're super admin.

It should be a pretty easy mod to make. Have you tried posting in Suggestions & Requests to ask for it?

  • Make a save as of now, including ownership.
  • Delete the building you want to alter.
  • Reload the save, without ownership. (Not as Public), this gives ownership to you and only you.
  • Repaint the bricks how you want.
  • Resave, with ownership. You'll now own the bricks he had before. When he rejoins, simply give him full trust.

Or more awkwardly;

  • Make a save with ownership.
  • Delete the bricks that you want to change colour (assuming the entire thing isn't coloured incorrectly).
  • Reload the save without ownership (Not Public).
  • You now have ownership of only the wrongly coloured bricks. Repaint them to colours you want.
  • Resave, with ownership.
The building now has your colours, and most of the building belongs to the original builder. If he wants to edit the parts you've changed, let him have for full trust to edit or replace them as he sees fit.

I'm pretty sure he knows how to do this, he's looking for an easier way of doing that.
