Author Topic: How do you think humans were first created?  (Read 7768 times)

They can only run at their top speed for about a minute though in which they would only travel about 1.25 miles before having to rest again, so if it was, say, trying to run away from humans it could be caught up with pretty easily, as for pacing itself who knows how far/fast it would be and how far/fast a human would go in comparison.

This thread is now about cheetahs.

I think god invented the big bang and a stuffton of liquids and chemicals and other natural stuff that's just kinda there and invented humans and reproduction

after that humans basically did everything and took over
This would contradict the bible. We know from the background radiation in the universe that it's around 14 billion years of age. While the bible says that it's 6 thousand years.

With no evidence to support my theory, take it with a grain of salt:

I think that matter condensed into a black hole could create a extremely dense particle. Which could lead to the big bang.
Thus the universe would be in a cycle of an explosion of mass, stars creating more mass, then eventually black holes would restart the cycle by creating another super condensed particle.

Well you see son, once, there was only Anu......

I think some... thing creating everything, really early on, and set the stuff in motion, expanding etc.
well, not really. but that's what I would like to think
what I actually believe is the big bang theory, despite what I mentioned earlier about it lacking a reason to explode
there's too much evidence, for me personally, to not believe that

it lacking a reason to explode
Quantum fluctuations explains this nicely.

I don't really have any belief or theory on the creation of the universe/life.
I mean I'm agnostic and I lean more to thinking something created stuff, or at least started it, but I don't really know or care who/what it was.

then, that's not the point
it's not even about tools
and like clone said, nobody was even talking about killing them
I was talking about their speed compared to ours, and then you come out of the blue with thatbut we couldn't if the cheetah paced himself
and anyway, he'd get far enough ahead doing that that it wouldn't even matter
I was just saying that humans are really strong, we just traded claws for tools.

Humans are fairly strong animals. But our better quality by far is how dexterous and intelligent we are. The reason we rule the planet today is our ingenuity in tough situations. IE: We wear a bear's pelt for heat when we are cold. We take baths when we are hot. We use a rock instead of using our bare hands when attacking something. We group together and can communicate ideas, combining all of our past experiences to solve difficult tasks. Other animals very rarely show any of these traits.

that's because other animals have natural offenses and defenses
we don't have killing teeth, or claws
we traded strength and stuff for intelligence
I don't entirely understand why it had to be a trade to begin with, like why couldn't we have retractable claws, or sharper canines, that could help us and still allow us to function mostly the same as we do now
but I guess, having to pick between smarts and animal stuff, I'd happily choose the first option

It was no longer necessary to have them because intelligence makes it so we don't need these things. Also, we only had strength in the first place. Therefor we couldn't have other traits which where completely irrelevant and unneeded evolve.
Intelligence is the best trait anything could ever evolve.

i thought it was because how our dancing and sacrifices win the favor of the gods and ergo we are blessed with the planet. and then humans are really good at writing fan fiction and whenever the gods get desperate to see more of a dying franchise they divinely inspire human prophets to write more about it using the characters from their god-friends' favorite franchises for broader appeal.

we also were the first species to invent redtube and deviant art, and we give people names to people instead of to food which also gets people names.

Though we can be strong it takes a seriously long time for us to be big enough to use it, I mean you could have a baby, give it 10 years to grow and it would still be torn apart by other animals that have been alive for a fraction of the time the kid was, so if there weren't already big older humans around to protect the little ones for very large amounts of time they would be killed off.

Squirrels frustrate me. I'm bigger, stronger, smarter, and have greater endurance, yet they still manage to evade me. That's why I stopped trying to catch them after 11, I don't want to embarrass mankind anymore. :P

The reason for this is because humans develop very slowly. Our skull needs proper time to fuse and our bones need a long time to become hard. Our brains are more focused on then the rest of our bodies during birth, so we have a longer cycle of growth outside the womb. Also: we are pack animals. We work together to protect our young which allows them a longer time to grow.

but evolution doesn't just get rid of things when there is no use for them
like, we still have our appendix, but it doesn't do anything now
there is no reason at all for actively removing the claws; they wouldn't be a vulnerability for us
so I really wanna know why they went away, and became fingernails and toenails instead
honestly, I can't currently think of any animal that doesn't have claws, besides primates (and I think some of them do?)
bc of that, I also don't believe that we could have just evolved from a long-clawless race
