Uh, it's pretty common knowledge that dolphins and great apes are sentient. But here you go, definition of sentient. Taking it a step further, chimpanzees are sentient. Sentience is being self aware, a lot of animals are self aware.

I think what you're thinking of is sapience, which is unique to humans. Hence, "Homo sapien."

eh, sort of a shoddy job, sorry

Better than the crap I was able to find.

Ah okay, yes this is what I was thinking of, thank you.

No problem, a lot of people mix those up a lot. Just glad to have cleared it up.

yeah pretty much. if there is life I would think it would be like some tiny ass worms or space coral or some stuff.

Maybe asteroids aren't natural and an alien planet launches them to make more planets with life

But Russia just got pounded by some asteroids

Of course we are not the only sentient beings. Like Mega said, there is a difference between sentient, and sapient.

The possibilities are endless.

probably never get to see things outside the observable universe.

Well no loving stuff.

The observable universe is the "wall" of blackness 13.7 billion light years away. Everything outside that wall is unknown to us as its light hasn't had enough time to reach us. The more time passes, the larger that bubble gets, but we will never see outside of it.

That's the thing, though. "Probably" is still a probability. Considering how random everything is, we might have unexpected breakthroughs and we MIGHT get to see things outside the observable universe, maybe even personally..

Just stay positive, and keep an open mind :o

Same to you. There's a difference between the universe and the observable universe.

Isn't sentience an illusion? I thought we were just very quick witted animals or something.

I think it's dumb and stupid
we don't even know how big the universe is
nobody knows stuff about probability

These dumbass SCIENTISTS be workin on some space stuff when we can't even keep stuff straight on our own DAMN planet

we be hurtin where I come from...3 kids, no moneys, poor-ass house, gang violence... aint no scientist give a stuff about tha hustlas in the brother ghetto GET YO stuff SHEET SHRAIGHT BEFORE YOU GO WORRYIN ABOUT GHETTO ASS ALIENS KNOWIN THEY OWN DAMN RELECTION AND SEEIN OUTSIDE THE DAMN BLACK WALL A NO LIGHT
