Turn your emitters up for this one, folks!



This is you. You have just joined, and are now an orb of almost pure energy.
You are red, but don't know why.

That's how things start off when you first join.
You might quickly discover that clicking shoots a ray of light from you, you can fly with space, you're slowly turning purple, and some other intresting things.
This is my latest idea, the energy deathmatch.



First I should explain the basic mechanics of this 'energy' that the game's based off of.
You start with 0% energy, and 100% health.
Your energy regenerates at about two percent a second.
While your health regenerates at about a tenth of that speed.
During battle you will have certain abilities, and they will all use up a different amount of energy.

But honestly, I should probably address why you'll be chaning colors first.
As some of you may know, a color has three components, red green and blue.
Well here, these change based on your various stats.
The red changes based on your health, the green based on your level, and the blue based on your energy.
Since you spawned with full health, a level of 0, and no energy, you're red.
As you gain energy, (assuming you're not hurt) you now have energy AND health, or in colors, blue and red, which make purple.
So you'd look like this guy:




As for these abilities, there's 7 currently.
But you're only allowed to use 4 at a time.
So that means when you're dead you must choose which 4 you want to use your next life.
Four abilities are selected by default, but if you want to change this, you must use this command:
/bind <key> <ability>
The keys are "shift" "right" "left" and "space"
And these are the abilities:


"Sniper"
Costs 5 energy
Shoots a perfectly accurate beam of energy out
Does 30 damage


"Fly"
No energy cost
Boosts you up a bit each time
Can be used infinatly


"Shotgun"
Costs 20 energy
Shoots 6 rays of energy out
Lower accuracy
Each ray does 30 damage


"Explode"
Costs 20 energy
Does 70 damage to enemies near the player

"Invisability"
Costs 30 energy
Makes you invisable for 10 seconds

"addEnergy"
Exchanges 2 health for 5 energy

"addHealth"
Exchanges 5 energy for 1 health





Maybe some day you can become the amazingness that is the pure white orb.
Requirements: full health, energy, and being level 100

Servers up but there's no real build, just a black box with spawns, so don't get mad about the build :|




Gonna kinda just leave this up for today.
Tonight I'll work on making a build.
And will probably change the scoring system to actually be levels, rather than just a kill count.
Then you'll be able to buy visual effects for your players as you get higher levels.
But nothing that actually helps you fight.
