Author Topic: If BL wasn't pay-to-play any longer, roughly how many players would we have?  (Read 3025 times)

Half the Roblox players would start playing because its free...

Brilliant explanation.
+1 respect

Excuse me if I sound like a total idiot, please correct me and tell me what's wrong with this but-

Doesn't it cost cash to keep the master server up or something?
I mean, if it goes down, don't all the other servers go out too?

They dont go out, someone jsut makes a generic master server, or you just connect via IP like minecraft.

its not "many" players i have a problem with, its "many free players" i hate.

anything being free, brings in a type of gamer i do not like...

>BL becomes F2P
>BL gets mic option
>BL gets 6 year olds
>6 year olds mic spam.

Yeah... :panda:

Agreed. BL is really nice mainly because of it's medium-sized community. It's not too big; nor too small. It's perfect as is.

It needs a lot more players

a LOT...

screw being perfect, I'd rather being able to hang out on servers with 60+ people than worry about small communities

a bunch of roblox fanboys would download it just to flame and spam everyone.

None, I would burn everything if Badspot decided this.

Prepare for the number to grow when we hopefully invade reach out to steam

BLOCKLAND!
IT'S FFRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

oh god lol I remember that

Oh god no.

I mean it could be great for a large player base, but then we'll turn into a roblox/runescape/tf2 community. We would have close to 1 million players, not counting the trolls and Glass-esque people. Having people pay would filter out most of the scum, although 20 bucks for a game like this is pushing it. Why pay 20 dollars for this when you could pay 6 for GMod? Just saying.

tf2 isn't really play to pay

UUUGHHHhhhh

I hope this never happens, Minecraft has the most difficult server hosting ever
