Author Topic: What Would Happen if a Famous YouTube Channel Posted a Blockland Video?  (Read 3940 times)

[Insert question from title here]

Most of us believe that the amount of Blockland players would surge if it was put on Steam, made F2P, etc. But what if a famous YouTube channel dedicated to gaming (Ex. TotalBiscuit, videogamedunkey, Critical, Northernlion) posted a video of them playing Blockland?

I think the population in Blockland would grow quite a bit. It may be similar to (or more) than if Blockland gets put on Steam because while Blockland may be in Steam, the amount of new users we have depends on the publicity Steam gives it. If it never really appears on Steam's front page, then we won't gain as many as we expect. However, if it gets put on sale (Which is likely to happen at one point or another) or it gets put on the front page (Which could happen as a result of the sale), we could gain the amount of users we expect.

Anyways, post your ideas here on what would happen if Blockland gained publicity through YouTube!

all of the people you posted are terrible and would do blockland a disservice

those are some terrible examples
i dont want any part of pewdiepies cigarette army over here
try somebody more refined, suck as critical, totalbiscuit, videogamedunkey, etc

Pewdiepie? No, just no. Although if he had a small walkthrough by someone , before he started the series, he could have/be a decent LP. Then again his goddamn "Bro Army" would just overwhelm us with idiots. Ghostrobo or Critical or Criken may be fine.

Seeing as though being given the greenlight won't be a reality for a while, this would work. Also, we've already suggested the game to quite a few people, like like Nerd3.

Fixed.

However, the reason I included them is because they are a bit... more... say, popular.

But you guys do have a point, the quality of the fans is of importance. However, I'm talking about the quantity of players rather than the quality (Though the quality is good to address.)

Try Northernlion. I think he fits the criteria quite nicely.

I think if someone were to do this, it would encourage sails and blockland on steam. But, imagine all the new 8 year olds swarming the servers with there intentional stupidity. Be wise on who makes the video though, as long as its not Bro-Team.

Nerd3 and somebody else...uhh...
...SMOSHGAMES HERP DERP

Should I just remove the examples so I don't get posts such as "Put [insert gamer name here] on the list" posts?

I feel like critical could fit well if he goes on an appropriate server
couple of other youtubers would probably like messing around with the addons

*Pewdiepie plays blockland*

A few minutes later half of his "Bro army" flood into the forums posting topics like
"OMG OMG OMG watch pewdiepie!!!11"
"Pewdiepie played this game first. reported all of you!"

But you know with a lot more spelling errors

We would have more recruits for our unstoppable army of Blockland. aka blockland community

Does Game Grumps counts?

if pewdiepie's bro army got into the forum we would eventually just piss them all off until they all got themselves perma'd.
