Author Topic: in my steam library i find games that need to be purchased ?  (Read 544 times)

so when i download demos of games sometimes in your steam library it leaves things that need to be purchased. i know its there but how would you add other games in there? like day of defeat or skyrim. How do you get rid of them and add them into the steam library. its just wired on how these get there and you cant remove them :I

another thing is they are highlighted in yellowish.

Some games are automatically downloaded because they're bases for other games. e.g. Counter-Strike needs Half-Life to run off of, so it downloads Half-Life for its resources.

Not sure if it's the same with Counter-Strike Source and Half-Life 2, but I think it is.

I kind of lost it when I seen my avatar. lol

but, usually when you download demos of games they put those in there so you could purchase it when you're ready to after trying the demo.

It means you have the games GCF Downloaded in your steamapps folder, and since you haven't bought the game, you can't play it.

but how can you add more to it? is it only for demos?

I officially hate you because you don't have Spiral Knights.

When i played that game, I always got handicaps who never talk, listen, or sometimes even move.
It was fun, but i couldn't handle seeing everybody with SWAG somewhere in their name

I played the game and stopped 2 days later

I didn't like it

Someone else on your computer most likely owns it and has downloaded it.

If not then who knows.
