Sheriff of Nottingham.Actual Sheriff, position still exists. I believe it's quite often a rather ceremonial position in Modern Day England & Wales, though. But they're a less common form of what would now be called a "Police and Crime Commissioner".Basically, a legal official in charge of an entire county.Since London isn't a county, it wouldn't have a sheriff.Being 21st century London, Derek Moore would likely be a "Chief Inspector", "Superintendent, or "Commander", or any of the British Ranks of Police.Make sure you use the correct titles for a member of the police who would work in the Greater London's Metropolitan Police Service, or the City of London Police, depending on the specific London location they work at.
A lot of americans are ignorant towards us, dooble. they do not understand anything about England.
