Author Topic: The best thing youtube could ever do is make subscriber counts private. (Read 5871 times)

After seeing so many people (usually those with few subscribers) treating sub counts as a metaphor for their snake and compairing them, I figured that it'd be better off if subscribing went back to just a simple way to get notifications on things you'd like to see more on.

Anyone agree on this?

not as if it's ever really useful information other than the reason you said being public

the channel owner of course would have access to it as part of brown townytics

I'm kinda glad and sad they removed the page that shows the current top subscribed youtubers. It was kind of interesting to see who was on top, but it's already seemed to become irrelevant since they removed that page.

Subs really are more of a personal goal at this point.

People who engage in that behavior aren't worth subscribing anyways, ignore them.

No there should just be a kind of swat team that tracks the ip from those accounts and then gpous and kills everyone in that house and replaced them with watermelons

It's better to just ignore people like that they are pretty rare anyway. A person like that will just find something else to argue about like 'THIS VIDEO HAS MORE LIKES" "THIS VIDEO HAS MORE VIEWS" "THIS VIDEO HAS HIGHER QUALITY" It's generally not a good idea to remove something just to try to counteract a few dumb people.
