Author Topic: Screen tearing while using fraps in Blockland  (Read 3191 times)

I get some sort of screen tearing in the middle of my screen while recording with fraps without vsync, but when I play the vid back. I see no screen tearing. How do I fix this?

Get a better computer. I believe it's caused by fps loss.

It would be more of a problem if the tearing was showing up in the video.

Get a better computer.
what do you expect him to do? drive to the store and buy one?

Yes. Exactly that. Lets just imply that i meant that.

I have a pretty awesome computer.
Specs:
I5 3570k 3.4ghz
8Gb ram
Nvidia Geforce Gtx 660
1 Tb Hard Drive

Going to try and disable Lock Framerate While Recording.

Go into your graphics drivers and turn on Tripple Buffering. This will make it so your monitor won't screen tear but your framerate won't be capped.

i don't think he needs a new computer.

How do I do that?
Also this never happened before.

Plexious' solution sounded correct.

Open up the NVIDIA Control Panel
Go to "Manage 3D Settings"
Under the "Global Settings" tab set "Triple Buffering" to On.
Click Apply

If you have Intel or AMD disregard anything I have said.

Yes but will anything bad happen?
I suck at managing graphics cards.

Also by screen tearing i mean jittery lines in the middle. or something
