Author Topic: Can't start up Blockland - I just get a black screen  (Read 1306 times)

Here is the deal: I cannot run blockland. I've got everything right, never forgot anything, but as soon as i load blockland the program stays on a black screen and never responds. If i try restoring it, it goes to the loading stuff... screen but never advances, so what should i do?

Wait

because it takes a while if you just on any old regular PC

If you have alot of add-ons, its going to take a while starting up and loading them. Yes, by starting up, I mean when you Blockland opens up with the command prompt window

this computer im on was made in early 2012 by my own dad, so i think that's why i should wait lol

also since i forgot to mention it was my first time loading up blockland but it never finishing, i don't have any add-ons whatsoever.

the command prompt window

so THAT's why it wont load? it wont pop up for me at all and only once it loaded up to 788 and stopped right there.

Two things,

One, did you use the installer??

Two, This belongs in help. It bothers me so much how people post help stuff in the General Discussion board. Please stop.

okay sorry man, first time on these forums. And yes, i did use the installer.

all good mate

Ok, go to your Documents folder.

In there, there should be a folder called "Blockland". Open it.

Is there a file in there called "console.log"? If so, attach that to your post (click the "Additional Options" button when you are replying). If the console.log file does not exist, there should be a file called "launcher.log" that you should post.

i have one that says launcher but without the .log

EDIT: it doesn't say it in the documents thing but it says it in the attatchment

Also thanks for whoever renamed this, my creativity in typing is horrible.

Have you tried updating your graphics drivers?
