Author Topic: An idea for regular tablets  (Read 580 times)

This is for people who have the typical tablets (iPad, kindle fire, etc.). I just got paint tool sai, and I want to use it with pressure sensitivity, but unfortunately I don't have a Wacom tablet or anything for it. What if the app store would make an app which lets you connect your tablet to the computer and make it act like a Wacom tablet?

That would be cool and I want it :c. Discuss

Would a normal tablet be as good as a Wacom tablet for drawing? I imagine there is some way to connect it through bluetooth to the computer but it would probably have meh quality.

i'm pretty sure those tablets dont have pressure sensitivity

i could be wrong though :u

Well Wacom is pretty much dedicated to drawing on a tablet, so I agree it won't be all that great. But since I have a kindle fire, it also has pressure sensitivity so if it really happened, it would really help me with paint tool sai.

Look for some way to connect with bluetooth.

The appstores do not have such items. You can get dedicated drawing apps, but they aren't as powerful as Sai, and you cannot get pressure sensitivity. I use ArtStudio on my iPad though, as a standalone, and it's wondiferous.

There are many excellent drawing applications for the iPad, not the iPod so much. I am typing from my iPad as we speak.

Something like the iPad or Kindle Fire could work well, seeing as they have higher end screens, but a cheap android tablet or iPod would either be too small/poor quality screen.

Never mind. Misread the OP

Are you sure, I can't find anything that says it does. Even if it does have pressure sensitivity, it probably doesn't have that many levels of it making the transition between then hard.
