I remember there being some factoid that if North Korea detonated their largest military explosive on the empire state building, the explosion wouldn't even reach central park. Could be fake, but seems pretty real.

they made the threat because of UN sanctions. over nuke testing. and there is no reason any country shouldnt be able to test and build nukes. its not like we have the right to make the rules.

To the people saying they aren't a threat - They aren't a threat when it comes to their chances of winning a war, but they're certainly a threat when it comes to cost of human life. If North Korea decided to start launching bombs at South Korea or Japan, or send ground forces into SK, they could potentially kill a lot of innocent people before being the rest of the world has a chance to retaliate.

North korea is like a kid with a small knife. He's sure as hell not going to win the fight by stabbing you in the leg, but if he strikes first he'll make you bleed.
