Summary

Cable man Roy Neary is one of several people who experience a close encounter of the first kind, witnessing UFOs flying through the night sky. He is subsequently haunted by a mountain-like image in his head and becomes obsessed with discovering what it represents, putting severe strain on his marriage. Meanwhile, government agents around the world have a close encounter of the second kind, discovering physical evidence of otherworldly visitors in the form of military vehicles that went missing decades ago suddenly appearing in the middle of nowhere. Roy and the agents both follow the clues they have been given to reach a site where they will have a close encounter of the third kind: contact.

My Opinion

This movie is the best alien movie on the planet. Yes, I said that I loved ALIEN, but after watching this again, I changed my mind. The effects are amazing, the acting is amazing, the plot is amazing, everything is amazing. There were many movies before this, about UFOs', but the aliens would never appear, or they were fake. This movie shows the alien, at the end... and the whole thing is about a group of people who get a sign from the aliens. That's what I love about it.

Actually, I watched this before I went on vacation and saw Devil's Tower.
I really wish I'd eaten mashed potatoes, too.
