Google: Progressively getting more "simplistic" but also more unnecessarily complicated as time goes on

the concept is to keep YouTube modern and interesting to keep people's interest. I think it's a great thing that they spend so much time staying ahead.
I meant of my post, not what YouTube's intentions are. But YouTube doesn't need so many layout changes to be "modern". They change it so many times that it's frustrating. Especially for people who have backgrounds that they have worked on very hard or have hired somebody to work very hard on just for it to be completely unusable within months.

However, I took a look at this new channel layout and it's pretty cool. They threw in some useful features.

Like what? :o
One thing is that there's a little trailer that pops up for non-subscribers for a quick look at what is on your channel.

I really like that new layout.

Gross! forget Google, what are they doing to YouTube?

Turning it into a more "social" site.

When they say the new design is a unique snowflake, does that mean that it will melt over time leaving us with stuff.

I hope not.

Just give us an option to use the old layout, dam it!

Now, channels will have almost 0 customization options

Exactly. The first channel design was great and had a lot of customization. The second one was okay, but this one looks like a forgeted up Google+ profile.

google buzz failed and google+ failed (i think there was another one) and they are desperate to beat facebook and take over the internet. So, theyre taking a site that LOTS of people use and that is famous worldwide and is making it a new social media site slowly
