He's trying to explain the situation before-hand because he's afraid that NAT will make him look bad in a drama if he ended up making one.
Although the reality is he made himself look bad by creating a pointless drama like this, and if he had just let NAT go ahead and make one it most likely would have just backfired on NAT anyways...
