Need good free recording program (2D games)

I need a good free recording program that can record 2D games. I'd also like to exclude:

FRAPS - Cannot record 2D games
CamStudio - For some reason this is really buggy for me and records all my videos with weird blue static and screwed audio

I've tried some random programs I downloaded on the internet but they normally have huge watermarks that grab more attention than the actual video
Either that or they make the game really laggy

If your playing via emulator, usually they have a built in recorder which is decent quality

It can.
I had a custom engine made with Direct2D and Fraps was able to record it fine.
