Author Topic: Should I pursue this relationship?  (Read 5340 times)

If you don't have love, I don't think its actually illegal to have a relationship, but you never know.
this makes sense

take her to dinner somewhere cheapish, like a frisch's or something, under different pretenses, try to get some conversation going, and if you like where it goes...honestly, i'd go for it. the only concern is again, if you're going off soon and she'll be stuck, you'll be starting something you can't finish properly.

You could if she was 16 currently, but any more than a two year difference is breaking a law unless you've been together for three years I believe.

I didnt know there were laws about simply being in a relationship

No, she's what you would call "jail bait" meaning you're going to go to loving jail if you tap that ass. Don't ruin the rest of your life because you wanted to go after a 15 year old who will probably get bored and dump you for someone else in a week.

If she's actually a really cool person and you feel it's worth it, yeah.
But chasing a minor with religious parents based upon flirting in class probably isn't logical.

It's funny how many people think that if your 18 and you have love with a 17 year old, captain America busts down your wall, proclaims FOR JUDTICE, FOR AMERICA! and then hauls your ass off to prison.

loving someone younger than you in private with consent will not land you in jail, this is why we live in houses, so people can't watch you forget a girl in her teens.

Further, OP never mentioned love. If he's anything like me, he'd wait at least a few months before getting feisty.

loving a 17 year old while 18 will rarely land you in jail, even if you got caught. On the other hand, if you forget a 15 year old and get caught you become a registered love offender and your life in the states is basically forgeted because nobody will ever hire you.

That's not true at all. Considering her parent's are religious and they find out hes definitely getting charged with stat rape. I believe the age of consent in California is 18. So if he bangs her and her super religious parents find. BAM he's a loveual predator for the rest of his life. Though I think California also has the weird system where it's 3 years younger and it's not rape. Though I don't know if it works if the person is under 16.

Bangin a 17 year old while your 18 won't get you in any trouble in any state. Unless you actually rape them.

It all comes down to if the judge you get is a prick and if she actually agrees that it was consensual. Either way, where i live the game of consent is 16, so it doesn't matter.

No, it's not stat rape. You would be charged with actual rape. Which could happen to anyone of any age.

If you forget a 17 year old while 18 and the age of consent is 17, you can be charged with statistical rape. It's like saying you could be fined for jay walking, as in it never happens but is still considered law.

charged with statistical rape.
the game of consent
please stop posting from a mobile device, i'm laughing too hard.

hi, my name is feep

im dating a 15 year old and i turn 18 in april

we've been dating for like 4 months now so i guess it isnt really that big of an issue

go for it.

protip: younger girls generally look for older guys to either 'try and have a serious relationship' or just because they want the D and expect older guys to be more into love and whatnot

source: a poll i did for my last year of high school LOL
