Author Topic: Playing around with bots - The rocket-shark and the blockhead who hates football  (Read 2236 times)

While taking an afternoon dip in my secret forest pool, I had figured out that my personal pool had become infested with a shark with a rocket launcher. I called up my mentally unstable buddy to help me get it out.

I tried to get him to go into the pool to get it out, but he protested. I didn't exactly make out what he said, but I knew he was in denial.

He sat down for a bit to ponder on how to dispose of this shark. When I turned my back, he started wrenching a brick for some reason.

I tried to ask him what the heck he's doing, but he wouldn't answer. He would just stop if I looked, so I looked away. He then started to ready himself to go towards the shark. I thought then that I had convinced him to help with the shark in my pool.

All of a sudden, he's just laying there, motionless. I try to ask him what he's doing, but he doesn't respond at all. I then walked up to him to see if he was alright.

He explained to me that he's deathly afraid of sharks, and that he doesn't want to confront his biggest fear, and asked me politely to do it. I told him that the only way to get over a fear is to face it, and that I believed in him.

He then jumps into the pool, convinced he can overcome his fear.

He was snatched by the shark instantly, and dragged to the bottom of the pool, and was eaten. I wasn't very shocked, I knew it would've happened to him any day. It was pretty obvious, so I quickly mourned him... Then I saw my other buddy and I decided to take the football out of the pool, and try to play with him.

I tossed him a football, but he just let it bounce right off of him. The stubborn old guy only liked using his lucky football, and not my "cheap" one. He started taking a walk around, remaking on how I've been taking well care of my secret forest garden.

I tossed my football at him again, but it nearly hit. While he was asking what my problem was, I remembered to myself that I DID actually have a problem, and it was in my pool! I asked him if he could help me get a shark out of my pool. He was quick to answer, saying that friends help friends or something.

He leaps in, football and all, to combat the shark. He starts swimming around it, trying to scan it for any weak spots. The shark was content until he started getting closer...

I use my football to distract the shark as he flanks it. I missed, yet again. I thought he was surely a goner... That is until he does the unthinkable.

Which was completely nothing at all. They both stood still, firing off emotes left and right. I was quite confused. Then the shark pulled out a hammer.

The shark started swimming around in the pool with a hammer in it's mouth, and my friend was swimming with it. They kept on swimming around randomly for a few hours until the shark ate him, jumped out of the pool and attacked me.

Long story short, bots are fun as heck to play around with, and their random behavior is often hilarious at times. This might be a little silly topic, but it was fun to experience ingame 'n whatnot.
