Yes, your snake a toothpick would work.
Ok then, I'll do it when everyone is asleep so I don't mess up my tv n stuff.
Does resetting the modem reset the cable box too? I have absolutely no knowledge on comcast things.

Found what the button might do:

The most drastic type of router reset, called hard reset, erases passwords, keys, and most other configuration parameters, restoring the router to use initial configuration values that it had when it left the factory. (Hard resets do not remove or revert the currently-installed version of router firmware, however.) This method is most commonly used when an administrator has forgotten their password or security keys and wishes to start over with new values.
To perform a hard router reset, keep the router powered on. Then, find the unit's reset button, often located on the rear of the device. Use a pen tip or bent paperclip if necessary to depress the button and hold it down. Network administrators are taught to hold the button down for 30 seconds; your router probably does not require waiting that full length of time, but this is a good general rule to follow. After releasing the hard reset button, a router may need up to 1 minute to reboot and resume normal.

Then perhaps you shoddy press it and instead... Well... Unplug it.

There is 4 cords, Yellow one is ethernet, one next to it I dunno what it is, circlish one near the bottom I know is critical to it, because that is the one that the cable guy put through a outlet in my wall. Bottom one IDK what that does either, is that the Power one that I should unplug?

Just follow them until you get to the one that leads to the outlet and unplug it from the outlet.

*sigh*
Look.
Wait a sec, think I found it, it seems to be the 3rd one from the left to the 3rd plug. I tracked it and it seems to be it, what is the procedure to restart.

How to restart your Modem/Router:
Unplug power cord Modem/Router from wall outlet or from Modem/Router
Wait 30 seconds to a minute
Plug it back in
????
Profit
Since I found the cord, should I use this exact procedure.
Nevermind, got it.

Not exactly, its only the fact that I haven't done stuff with my modem.

No, it's the fact that you make topics weekly about "high ping omg help" or "what to do with _____" and ask way too many questions in general. You look at things like they're complicated. You could have searched how to fix high ping yourself rather than wasting time posting on the forums. This topic has 5 pages and about everytime someone said "unplug and re-plug your router to restart it" you basically ignored them saying things like "i'll ask my dad what the reset button on the back does, I think it resets to factory settings."

Haha, they're not weekly, I hardly ask them at all. First thing is, to google it, which I do, but If I can't find it, I put something on yahoo answers even though its a terrible resource, but still helps a little. stufftiest thing ever but you know and I don't want to sign up for a different forum every time I have some problem with a machine or item that I have. So I go to a section in the BLF (off topic or something) and put a topic but get several messages saying "omgrd gewgle et fegt lololol" when I already did.

Let's just say this: Blastdown has been here since 2007, and you've been here since January of this year. You both are quite active.
You both have made 59 topics.

They're simple questions, I don't see why it would take you that long to find an answer.

"Ping is high, what do I do?"

http://www.ehow.com/how_8552633_fix-high-ping.html - that was the second result, and it loving had 7 different sollutions to fixing high ping.

Again, just about everyone answered it for you. Unplug your router. Wait 30 seconds. Plug it back up. Not sure what's so hard to understand about that. You just look at the solutions and complicate them. "Oh well there's a reset button on the back do I click it????" No, just do what was loving suggested 40 million times.
