Author Topic: How to optimize the search in Windows 7 to not find hidden files?  (Read 1759 times)

Well a few years back I needed to find a specific folder but it was hidden so I had to edit the search to where it would find hidden files....move it forward a few years where I'm a hormone filled 15 year old who is now in possession of a research folder and likes to fap to the images inside. But now I completely forgot how to change that setting back so no one can accidentally stumbles onto some anime girls tits.

(Yes I do have some snoopy friends who would search through my computer when I'm not looking.)

Anyway I would google the problem but I figured I would get a few laughs from you guys if I posted this here. Plus I haven't been here in awhile.

plsPlease?

Wowie, thanks for the heads-up mate. :)

not sure if you can do this. but another option is just getting a USB and putting all your research on there.

or dropbox and then disconnect from it when you're not using it?

Put it in system32, doesn't search there.
At least not in my experience.

that's the name of my lovey folder.
yeah

I just call the folder a really random name that makes no sense and then the folders inside of it that split it all into categories is just a series of random letters and numbers. You get used to the order of the categories after a while.

I don't even need to make the files hidden this way.

Pretty easy.
In my case i made a passworded archive that i hid with a completely random name and put it in appdata where searches don't even show up. I made a folder called "miscdata" which, knowing my family, wouldn't be out of place at all. But you'd better remember the password. I made that mistake before and lost some good pr0nz

In your case you could just make a folder and make it hidden along with its contents which i'm pretty sure also hides it from searches. But what i'm sure will work is if you just hide individual files in your search results. Worked for me before.

..why do people download research lol

1) To prepare for internet to be out.

2) Better resolution

3) Don't have to wait to buffer

Only downside is that it takes up a bunch of space and people might find it.

These are my reasons for saving research.
That reminds me, I should be losing internet again sometime or another so I need to scramble for pr0nz

because sometimes you want to look at it later
