Here we loving go again with this "empty promise" stuff.

Badspot has explained what needs to be done to fix vehicle physics. He knows what he needs to do to fix them. There's more than he needs to do than simply re-code the vehicle physics, and it's not simple. It's also not on the top of his to-do list, but with the Race Kart gamemode being default and everything, he might get around to it sooner or later.

When the hell did I ever mention vehicles? The vehicle code was actually slightly edited also though...at least the way vehicles interact it seems like it was.

The only issue with vehicles is collision with bricks, everything else with vehicle physics is awesome.

He's only bringing it up because you were talking about how much of a liability terrains and interiors were and how they complicated things. And back before shaders were implemented, lots of people expected vehicle physics to be fixed since terrains and interiors wouldn't be there to complicate things in the code.

But fixing the vehicle physics is not as simple as most people anticipated, which is why they haven't been.

i miss maps a lot and i'd prefer having them to shaders i can barely run, but there is literally nothing i can do about it so yeah

Notice that there isn't a, "No, I don't want maps to come back at all," option.
The poll is rigged to either be "yes" or "I don't know what you're talking about."
