Author Topic: How to Run Shaders  (Read 864 times)

I set Shader Quality to Max, but nothing changed. Do I need a new graphics card, or is it a problem with Blockland itself? I have a Dell Inspiron 15r, with Intel Core i5 (I'm reading this off the tag on the keyboard, so I may be wrong).
Thank you!

you need a different graphics card. the graphics unit inside the i5 cannot run shaders.

Does the laptop have a graphics card?
We don't need your cpu.

no, the graphics unit is integrated into the cpu, and he has an i5 so his graphics unit is probably either intel hd 3000 or 4000, depending on the versions of i5 he has, and they can't run shaders

He didn't say that

a quick 2-second search by the name of his laptop describes that it has no other graphics unit besides the integrated one in the i5

This is how to get your exact specs:
Windows key + R
In the run dialog type dxdiag and hit enter
Go to display and tell us what it says for your graphics card.

Then he needs a new computer.
