The Maze Runner Trilogy you need to read the first book for it to be revealed it's post apocalypse but it's VERY well written.

The Stand by Stephen King. I like it because it shows a bit before the disaster, and how how stuff hit the fan.

The Eleventh Plague
That book is just amazing.
It was pretty good, even though I thought it drew on a few parallels from the Fallout universe, like the war with the Chinese, and the slavers.

I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream

I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream is a short story of the highest caliber. It's what, like 15 pages? You could probably read it from front to cover in 15 minutes.

The movie of the same name sucked so bad it sucked itself inside out
