Im going to uninstall my steam, it updates That's normal. and gives me pop ups What kinds of pop-ups..? I don't remember Steam ever showing pop-ups, unless you're talking about chat pop-ups. every time i turn on my computer, and when i shut it down it spends like 5 mins for "steam.exe" to close That's because you left it on before you shut it down, and for me it only takes like 30 seconds to 1 minute for it to shut down. :/

Right click on Steam and quit it first, then shut down.
