For English, I have to recreate an act of Hamlet. I decided that im going to do it with Flash and create an animation. The problem is that I don't really have a good program for recording voices and manipulating them so they don't sound crappy. I don't want them to sound like static, not to mention Ill have to edit my voice cause i don't have enough voice actors.

Does anyone know of a program I can use for recording voices, editing them and then converting them to formats that wont cause flash to have a stroke?

Also, any sound effects resources would be nice.

Audacity is a fairly good editor. If you have a USB microphone or something that you want to record people with, that's really easy to do. Sound effects, I don't know. There was a website I remember seeing a few years ago that a ton of them, there must be plenty of others around.
