Author Topic: What we don't like about Blockland.  (Read 2907 times)

A default friends list instead of a 3rd party one
GameConnection::stopSound
More torquescript source for default functions, like he has for damage
Saving environment settings
Custom shapenames
::onMoveTrigger, similar to ::onTrigger
Custom face/decals steaming, that way it doesn't just look like the base face/decal. Pretty sure like, every other game similar to this has a feature like this. Obviously to avoid the 'hurr snake', option to disable this feature could be available.
Wider selection of avatar parts
GUI standardization (the main menu and start server screen look different from the rest of the game's menus)
Precipitation added to advanced environment settings
Gamemode settings
Wrapping face textures, that way it's not just the front.
Punish obvious trolls. Whether it's a temporary or permanent revoke. It's bad business to let people go from server to server just to forget with people. This is where all the 'bad community' comments come from that scare off potential buyers.
Adjust flood protection to 10 seconds for flooding, 4 seconds for repeating
Speed modifier value on player objects

But yeah, other than that it's fine.

Crashing into a pedestrian is more hazardous to the driver than it is to the player walking.

that is, outside of a minigame with vehicle damage on.

better physics pls

S&S is default, it's just that not everyone can see them due to their Intel integrated CPUs.
loving Intel. Making permanent but sucky graphics cards and stuff.

Intel graphics accelerators aren't designed to support features that games require, it's main purpose is to just be something to display video instead of having to spend more money and buying a seperate graphics card, this is mostly beneficial in a lot of areas (homes, businesses, schools)

ONTOPIC: I wish we had afros.

I have an Intel card and I can run shaders.

* Xalos is confused.

hmm lets see.
custom playertype downloading is a glitchy mess.
cant colorshift items
cant mount emitters to items, stuck using an archaic images system. can't mount items to another slot without making an entire other image.
cant dynamically CHANGE the archaic images system.
datablock system allows for nice static objects that don't change (ie: no slowing down or freezing playertypes)
bad physics
