I don't decide what is right and wrong, the Feds do. I would love to be able to defend myself by punching a guy who randomly decided to attempt to snatch my wallet, but if I were to punch him I would be arrested for assaulting a man. If I let that thief take my wallet and call the cops, the police will just tell me too bad. They aren't going to waste time looking for a wallet. However the law is the law, and as citizens we have the right to write to our local congressmen and elected officials and say want you want. Afterall the US is a democratic republic, you vote for the people that best represent you, not the people that have their own interests. Good luck getting past the special interest groups who can pay for what laws they want to be proposed or removed.
So you lack the ability to decide between right and wrong, but the federal government doesn't? Mk. You're very vague when you're talking about the wallet-snatching thing, you could have said it's California law rather than stating it on the next page. All politicians have their own interests, really. They're not completely selfless beings who will read every one of your silly letters and try to make them into a bill, it doesn't work like that.
