I've been using this for an old black/white looking server.

Black and white RP plz

+Black to white daycycle

You can load any save and it'll put it in greyscale. Looks pretty awesome.

Hehe, been there, done that. Not that I was the first, I'm sure someone beat me to it. I abandoned it a long while back; it's just too difficult to build with. Loading random saves in black and white is always fun though.

Honestly, if you're going to build in black and white, you do not need 50+ shades. It just doesn't work. Maybe 20 shades, a column or two of different opacity trans for white, gray, and black, and the basic colors of the wheel just for the hell of it.

I do love the name you gave it, haha.

you're missing the point

i did colorscales a while back; just 5 minutes with excel can give you this, basically.

should have done 25 shades, 1/2 solid and 1/2 transparent

you're missing the point
I'm also missing your point.

Having as many shades as possible? I'm all for the effect. You can get a really nice product out of it. It's just that as you add to your build, it becomes increasingly difficult to manage and more often than not it all becomes a mess. There's too much to work with. The less shades you have to work with the more manageable your projects will be.

And let's face it: from a distance everything just blurs together anyways. I'm not saying that I don't like that subtle difference that you notice if you're right up close - in fact, I really do. To me, it just isn't worth it. I'd like a colorset that is easy to manage that still allows you to get that nice effect out of it, which I believe is entirely possible.

With a smaller amount of shades and more slots open for colors, I don't see why you wouldn't want to go and include the basic colors as a final column. When used, they would provide a devastatingly beautiful contrast to the bleakness of whatever you create.

everyone knows the fifty shades of grey
That's what you guys are getting at? Haha, sorry I didn't catch on. Looking at it from the wrong perspective, I guess.

it's more than that, but yes...

problaby should include pink and shades of brown to fill up to 64 shades.
