It is confirmed that during puberty; a kid's emotions can easily be more stronger and easily excited. However, in males it is just more of a short temper, but in females any emotion can be easily excited; VERY QUICKLY.

Sure there are the people who do it for attention, but it's usually real.

And also puberty, school, etc.
