Author Topic: Bioshock Infinite - Out now!  (Read 17833 times)

this is the one of the only games that i want enough to pay 60 bucks for. havent been that way in a while.

the game's fantastic but it isn't worth 60 imo

also: forget lady comstock and her fights
forget her
forget 1999 mode

Why isn't it worth $60, I've seen nothing but perfect or near perfect reviews. I mean I don't like $60 as the standard for games but any triple A title is going to be $60 on release from now on.

the game's relatively short and the middle is sort of played out
"booker, go to x! jk, you have to do y before you can access x!"
annoying as stuff and kills the immersion

Is the game really any good? From what I've seen and heard, it's been dumbed down more than Bioshock 2 and the game is basically setpiece after setpiece(someone said it was more of a movie than MGS4), let alone having no exploration at all

i just watch Robbaz play it

whoa

yeah, just as prerequisites kill the immersion of real life.  I need a key before I can get in my house?  Horrible design.

you already own your house so you should have it in your pocket
what I mean is the whole

"go to the station to board the gondola to reach the airship"
"jk you need a new vigor to do that"
"here do 3 different fights and then fight the boss to get it"
"okay now return and activate the thing"
"jk this isn't your airship now go get me my guns"
"ok you can't get the guns until you go through time a million times"
"you never get the guns so now you never get the airship hahahaha what a waste of loving time!"
"go dig up my wife and cut off her hand"
"jk that was a trap now go pointlessly relieve her spirit when you could instead cut off her hand and just scan that, or, you know, blow the loving door off like THE SPIRIT DOES REGARDLESS"

I understand it's to make the game lengthier and tell a broader story but that really irks me

theres always a lighthouse

actually wait a minute
the huge understory might make up for its main story faults

you know the whole "heads or tails" question at the beginning? (and how there's already 122 heads, and how the lighthouse's combo is 122, but that's not important for this)
well whenever liz tosses you money, guess which side you always see?
heads.

I swear I just heard a sea shanty version of "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun"

yeah, I really wish the game had no twists, I just want a happy ending.  Any additional conflict in the story just sucks!  This is a part of just about every story ever.

well it's a lame trope to be honest

>tfw you haven't bought the game and you have to start steam in offline mode because you have jairo as a friend

but it's not even priced at 60 bucks
